Cookie Statement
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a piece of information that a web server may place on your computer when you visit a website. Instant receives and stores certain types of information whenever you interact with us online. Cookies are used for a variety of reasons, including to improve a user’s website experience. Many cookies last only through a single website session or visit. Others may have an expiration date, or may remain on your computer until you delete them.
WHY ARE COOKIES USED?
Cookies are used on our Websites for a variety of purposes, including:
Functionality. Some of our Websites use cookies that are necessary in order to provide a function of the website such as to remember your login credentials where registration is required or to provide a more personalized online experience. These cookies don’t identify you as an individual. If you do not accept these cookies, it may affect the performance and functionality of the Websites and may restrict access to content on the Websites.
Analytical/Performance. Some of our Websites use cookies to better understand how visitors are using/interacting with our Websites by providing information about the areas visited, the time spent on the Website, and any issues encountered, such as error messages. This helps us improve the performance of our Websites. These cookies may be set by us, or by third-party companies such as Google or Marketo. These cookies don’t identify you as an individual. All data is collected and aggregated anonymously.
Personalization. Some of our Websites use cookies to personalize the content that is displayed on our site, or to remember you when you return to our site.
Advertising. Both Instant and our third-party advertising company partners may use cookies in order to serve ads about our products and services across the Internet. Deployment of these types of cookies helps us to measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising. To do so, these cookies may gather generic information about your visits to our Websites and other websites for online marketing purposes. Additionally, we may use cookies to track your visits to other websites, and serve you ads about our company and services. Most types of these cookies track consumers via their IP addresses.
WHAT OTHER TYPES OF THIRD-PARTY COOKIES ARE USED?
As noted above, we work with a number of third-party vendors that may also set/deploy cookies on our behalf when you visit our Websites. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our Website traffic. We may also employ third-party cookies to help us with market research, user tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring of other online activities. Additional vendors with which we work include – but are not be limited to – YouTube, LivePerson, New Relic, DoubleClick, Marketo and AdRoll. More information about the types of cookies these vendors utilize may be available on their respective websites.
HOW CAN I CONTROL OR DELETE COOKIES?
Most Internet browsers are initially set up to automatically accept cookies. You can change the settings to block cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent to your device. There are a number of ways to manage cookies. Please refer to your browser instructions or help screen to learn more about how to adjust or modify your browser settings.
DO YOU USE ANY OTHER USER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We use a variety of additional technologies to help track user activities and preferences. For example, we use web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags or web bugs). Web beacons are tiny graphics (about the size of period) with a unique identifier that are embedded invisibly on web pages or emails. They are used to track user activities and communicate with cookies. You cannot opt out of web beacons used in webpages, but you can limit their use by opting out of the cookies they interact with. You can opt out of web beacons used in emails by setting your email client to render emails in text mode only.
